i am guessing you want to add extra protection, and reduce scratching when its cleaned? well i got some dupont clearcoat from O'reillys on my old bike and did that, i just cleaned my windscreen with rubbing alcohol first which made it kinda hazy, but the clear attached really well...

i dont think it would cost 2 much. just be sure to put flex or some companys call it plasticizer in the clear so incase it flexes at all.
