is that wat its called? im refering to when people paint the casings on their headlights

Yes. "Whistler" What you do is put your headlights into the oven at about 180-220 F for 20-30 minutes, and the adhesive will be soft enough, you can separate the clear lens from the housing. Mask off appropriate areas of the casing and then paint them. Reapply adhesive and reinstall the clear lenses. There is minor debate as to if you paint the ribs inside the headlight or leave them unpainted and simply paint the outer 'chrome' parts. I personally have done this mod and left the ribs unpainted. My view is the more light that can reflect onto the road will give me better visibility. Search "Whistler". Good luck.
