if it is done right it won't look wavy at all. To my knowledge everyone who has one had it filled in, and I don't think anyone that sells them

That's just what I did and finished it in semi gloss.

bondo, or 3m makes a plastic filler which would flex unlike bondo. so if u got rear ended the bondo wouldnt crack and theres a better chance of saving the panel.

You really don't need Flex Filler for the panel. It's a pretty rigid piece. Flexible fillers are more used for bumper covers, and those plastic body panels (Like our doors and fenders).
Just rough up the inside and edges of the letters with a low grit, and clean/prep the surface really good, to promote adhesion.

Heres my smooth berger panel. I had my car in the body shop for an accident(front end) so I had them do the berger and paint the ss spolier for me. I believe all the did was prep it and a fill it with bondo sand it smooth, prime and paint.

not a fan of it; do yourself a favor and buy a spare so you can always revert if you change your mind... Do you plan on slapping an emblem on there or just leaving it as a vast realm of not-camaro? lol, pardon my bias...
