Need advice before something bad happens Back in July i had bought a fiberglass SS hood for my Z28. The hood itself is very flimsy, but once closed, it's good and the factory Hinges are holding up the hood pretty good. I'm 90% driving on the highway (Freeway, as you call it) doing 130-140 kmph. Shall i be worried and go with hood pins?
my personal opinion is get hood pins because you never know what will happen driving on the highway. but i mean hood pins arent for everyone because most people dont want to drill holes in the hood and they dont like the look. my buddies cowl hood flexes at about 120mph and stays on well and he doesnt have pins. i think just about any fiberglass hood will flex at high speeds..

I agree with getting hood pins. I've seen it happen only once where the hood flies up and into the windshield. The driver freaks out (which I hope you wouldn't) and nearly crashes. To avoid this all get the pins.
