Default Stripe Decal got raped

Everyone I just bought blue racing stripes for my T/A and I took it to a body shop to put on. They ended up calling me telling me that the stripes were bubbling and the ones I must have bought were bad material. He took them off and gave them back to me.

Anyone have any suggestions????

God help me

Contact the mfr for replacement, if they are defective then they should replace them.

Bubbling? as in bubbling due to air being trapped under the decal during install by someone that has no idea in hell what they're doing?

Never heard of a decal bubbling on it's own during install do to defective material. On large stripes you must first wet down the area of the car where the decal is going with soapy water solution, then place decal - the water will allow you to move the decal around during install to align correctly before decal sticks permanently.

Then when you have it in place, use a credit card or plastic squeegee and start at one end, work your way to the other, gradually adhering the decal and working all the air bubbles out. This action will work out the water, adhere the decal, and get rid of bubbles.

Probably wasn't defective stripes man. it was most likely the shop's fault!

That sucks man, more than likley(sp) its the shops fault. I work/run a sign and graphics shop and I have never had anything like that happen. There are quite a few "tricks of the trade" when it comes to vinyl stuff. Next time I would suggest taking the car to a sign/graphic shop, they know their stuff when it comes to application.

Yeah sounds like body shop sucks... the only bubbling would most likely be caused by air... its not like paint here where if it isnt prepped right or this n that it will bubble... if fricking vinyl..... They fudged up

i think that shop didn't wet down where ever those decals were going and just tried to slap them on in that case they will bubble up... more like air bubbles... thats what happen to me when i 1st put on SS hood decal i didn't know i have to wet it down so i got all kinds of air bubbles and fucked it up... later on i called my buddy and asked him how he put his and he told me about the water and soap !! i think that shop didn't know what the hell they were doing take it back and have them do it again!!!
