Well I moved into apartments this past week and luckily the girlfriend gave me the garage... anyways, the first night we moved in I accidentally hit the garage from lack of experience in driving through the narrow doorway. Anyhow, it left a vertical inch sized crack in the paint under the keyhole on the passenger door and was wondering the best way to fix it? I was thinking of trying that scratch-x stuff and getting the touch up paint. Any better suggestions?

Is this a deep thin crack or a wide shallow scratch in the paint.
Scratch isn't a big deal. Crack is fixable but you won't like it.
Fiberglass can be repaired but it is THE PITA. I have done small jobs before and it took hours and hours and hours. Then had to have someone else spray it. I have a hood with two cracks in it and I don't even know what to do with it.
