Default Caliper Question

First off, yes, I used the search and found alittle info but Id like to get some more. My question is, can stock exterior car paint be used to paint calipers? My firebird is chameleon with black accents and i'd like to paint my calipers chameleon with a black bracket. I searched and found this picture of a guy who said he used car paint and has been fine. Has anyone else done this and have they had any problems with the paint and the heat?
