Default smacked a deer, (pics are added)

Ok so I'm going to work a 10:00 PM just past the state trooper barracks, I glance to the right like I always do turn my head back and its all over, nice big 6 point buck standing right in the middle of the road. Never even had a chance to lift off the gas hit him doin 65 mph. So I pull into the police station just to get off the highway, and have the car towed. I can't believe that a deer can do $7500.00 in damage and the bags didn't go off.

So now its time to start the body work and I'm thinking of changing the color to SOM can anybody give me the color code and an idea of how much this paint is.
I will post pic's tonight.

Sorry about some of the photos I don't think my camera liked the fog that morning

How squarely did you hit him? If it was off to the side some it lowers the odds of setting off the airbags.

Sucks man, sorry about that

wow I would think it should have set off the airbags.. in some ways it is a good thing it didn't though, less repair costs!

its not a direct front impact that sets off air bags, its actully the act of sudden deceleration upon an impact like when you hit a car it brings you to a stop faster than you could ever stop just by hitting the brakess and like when he hit the deer it didnt bring hit to an sudden stop he probably just slammed on the brakes which wont set the bags off.

I hit one last Friday in my SS. Looked up and it was running across the road, slammed on the brakes, and just clipped its back leg. Cracked my bumper a little by the foglight and broke the turn signal. I am glad I didn't hit square on. I am sorry for your loss man. Hopefully the car will come back better than ever.

weird, i just hit a deer doin 65 mph too, i smacked it with the passenger side of the front bumper. Damages were only 2.2k, and thats with a new WS6 hood . Sorry to hear your losses tho... 7500 is quite a big of change for hittin a deer...

It's probably the same price or at least close to other colors. Paintscratch.com says $90 per pint. They got really close to the paint I bought for my calipers, but I would try someone local first.

I think I'm going to buy the slp H.O. hood can't really find a good deal on a new stock one and haven't found too many aftermarket ones. still not sure on the color though I really like the SOM or the NBM, but who knows maybe I will get something different I thought about two tone even.

Did I mention that this sucks!!!!!
