trans am lights making noise
trans am lights making noise my driver side light goes up and down perfectly but as soon as it gets down it make a loud noise for about 5sec i was told it needs to be adjusted if so how can i do that its a 98 trans am thanks
Do a quick search on firebird headlight motors and you will see tons of information on it. They even tell you how to switch the gear around to the other side instead of having to replace the gear. Nine out of ten times it is just the stripped gear that can be reversed and reused. It is hardly ever the actual motor. Hope this heps out I had the same problem and did the gear reversal with great results.
I am slow at doing car work and am by no means a mechanic. I'd say it took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. I also have fat hands which makes it a litttle bit harder. Try the gear reversal approach and it should work just fine for you.
