Chassis work/paint question

Chassis work/paint question So step #1 for my racecar needs to be which one? I have chassis work/suspension to do, and body/paint etc work to do also. I have sparing nothing on my car because i want it to be nice, so the car is going down to nothing for paint but do i need to do the chassis work (cage) first or after. The INSIDE of the car will be painted in the process so it makes sense to paint it first right?
Install any bars, chassis parts. Think of it this way: if you are going to put the parts back on with the paint being so soft, anything can leave a scratch to the metal if touched by another part.
Once you have the basics bolted on take it to paint then *carefully* install the interior though you may want to use adhesive foam strips on edges until all inside panels are in place and ready to be fastened in. Wrap the bars on the cage with pipe insulation foam. Just before bolting in any of the interior pull out the foam strips and button it up.
