Default stripped threads

i got a used oem ss hood and one of the bolt holes that holds the bracket for the strut mount is a little stripped out what is the best way to fix this thanks

Re-tap it. May have to re -thread (die) the bolt as well if it has been cross threaded.

if that does not work, you may want to try a helicoil if there is enough meat left. If that does not work, you will probably need a rivnut

A nut that installs like a rivet. It take as special gun like a rivet gun. As you pull the trigger it squashes the nut on the backside like a rivet and that is what keeps it in place.
