oh ouch! That looks like it really hurt

Was the man cited?

Hopefully most of the damage is on the outer skin area and not any frame members.

Good luck with the insurance claim.

I think your car is safe from being totaled but parts just cost so much for our cars. It is crazy.

Did a estimate with all gm replacement parts and it ended up being $7019 too fix it. Kelly blue book and NADA said the car is worth $7800. And according to the people i have talked to if it would cost 3/4's of what the car is worth to fix it then it will be totalled.

Wow that sucks. What all is damaged? Hood, bumper, fender(s), headlights, brackets.... anything else? Was the core support bent at all? Radiator?

If I had more money I'd offer to buy a bunch of parts from you but too early for that yet, my project can't happen until next year at the earliest (due to cost) most likely :/

Jesus Christ, 7K seems a little steep. There is no frame damage correct?

I would be willing to bet that they are quoting you so high is because they are quoting you with the prices of oem parts in that estimate. Hell the hood alone is 2 grand last i checked. If you need it I have an extra oem hood from my car when it was totalled once apon a time. It has been repaired but looks good.

very true here too...

and keystone is your friend...

both shops that i have worked at we used keystone parts, not ALL of them fit as good as oem but some parts actually fit better than oem parts. imho keystone is just as good as oem. only cheaper. try getting a price quote with keystone parts

Opened the hood today...the air lid is 5 inches to the right of where it supposed to be and the frame is bent like a ****. It will be totalled. I work at the body shop it is at or rather help. The owner did it with all factory gm parts. aftermarkets dont fit too well.

keystone parts dont fit too well, i had a keystone hood on it

Ill have some pics up in a day or two
