i'm no expert but i remember reading that there is a strip of metal down there that people mistake for a jacking location and if it gets bent the fender comes out like that, there is supposedly a way to bend it back but im not sure exactly how to do it...

The fender mount is bent. Most of your 4th Gens will have this problem where some dumbass jacked it up on the fender support. Just take a long pair of channel locks or something similar and slowly bend the bracket back. When your done open the door slowly and make sure the door dosen't touch the fender. Ive fixed 3 Camaros with this method. Takes about 5 minutes to fix.

Yeah what they said. For all the abuse my camaro went through that was one thing that didn't happen to it... until I took it to the shop a couple months ago and they bent the passenger one ![Icon Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_rolleyes.gif)
I haven't bent it back yet, been too busy to do much with the car except put gas in it and drive it.

Yup, i bought my car used and mine had it. I just took a drill and made 2 holes through the bottom of the bumper and the metal flap that it origionally bolted to (i had to bend that flap back out). then i used zip-ties to pull the fender back. took about 15 minutes.

thats what I was thinking. However, I didnt want to make it worse (or knowing my luck... slip as I am swinging while simultaneously being bitten by fire ants and stung by bees, throwing the hammer through the side of the door) or something. I'm usually so quick to break out the BFH too... LMFAO
