Default My spring work thread...

Well it's about time to paint my Z28, since I'm a poor college kid who details cars at a Hendrick dealership I have decided to do most of the work myself considering what sources I have available. My car has seen some rough times since I have owned it, It has been hit in numerous parking lots, suffered from "crows feet" in the hood and finally had the clear give out. The car will be painted with PPG products. Here are some pictures of the work that I have done over the last few weeks.

After we cut in the new fender (It was black from factory)

Sanded and primed the spoiler

Sanded the hatch with some 320 on a DA

Water sanded the top with 800-2000grit

Most of the body was done with the DA and some 320

Pulled the front fenders to paint the insides

Time for some patch work...

Thanks! I'm considering shaving the rear side markers and then doing some pearl silver flames on it.
