Default New to body work

Ok, so last year i totalled out my dad's 96' F-150. He had a guy rebuild it, but the bed fender wells were rusted out and one cab corner. My dad is wanting us to replace these places and paint them ourselves. We bought a Hobart welder. We have a Craftsman air compressor alond with cutting and grinding tool. i was wondering how to go about fixing the rusted places and what kind of paint gun to use. I figured it would look pretty rough where its our first time doing anything like this, but i would like for it to look decent even though its just a work truck. Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Its fairly simple stuff. the easiest I recommend is to buy some patch panels for replacement. Do you have a local Keystone aftermarket parts supplier? I think they have a good assortment of panels. If u dont I can call mine monday to se if they offer those

Yeah get some patch panels, body filler, and get a High volume low pressure gun, 1.8mm tip for primer, 1.4mm for paint and clear.

For the general info local part stores are pretty helpful.. .that and Hot Rod magazine has had lots of info lately and it's prolly online.
