Default repair or swap?

ive got an 84 trans am, the car has an ls1/t56 swap, and lots of after market suspension parts, the body of the car is rough, has a rotten rear quarter, dents, 91 doors with holes from the GFx, a 91 mismatched fender, and t tops that leak, I also have an 86 base model firebird with a 305 and a 5spd, the body on this car is in very good shape, no rust or dents, interior in both cars is good.

I could sell the 86 and use the money for body/paint work but i dont know how far 2500 would get me, im also not sure how hard it would be to swap all the suspention stuff, aftermarket brakes, exhaust, etc...

any advice?

I say swap the stuff from the 84 to the 86. You are looking at over $2500 to get quarters fixed with new paint on the car. Hell, put the motor out of the 86 in the 84 and sell it. The suspension stuff is easy to swap.

i guess i could wait till i do my h/c combo, headers and intake and just pull the motor out, then have it dyno tuned on an engine dyno.
im just wondering what problems i might run into, im no mechanic, here are some pics of the 86. the 86 is also about 3150lbs, swapping in my ls1 would probably lower that weight.
