Berger Panel Feels rough after paint

just got done doing my panel and it feels rough .. i think its my primer .. should i wet sand ?
if so what grit ? .. prolly high like 1500 right ? .. i want it smooth

If you think it is the primer you will have to sand it alway down. Then primer,wet sand it 800-1500 paint it again.

Did you sand your primer before you sprayed it black and are you using clear?
You could try wet sanding (w/1500) and buffing but if it is the primer you will have to take it back down and get it smooth, then wet sand with 600 and shoot it again. I would not recommend sanding with anything finer than 600 prior to base as you may have adhesion issues.

i did not sand my primer
didnt have any paper
ill try wetsanding and buffing thanks

you should always wet sand your primer before painting or you should have used a sealer, it goes on much smoother and leaves a better surface for your base coat
