Per the rules, I believe you need to post a starting price. What's you minimum and location in SC? What is included in the sale?

Thanks!

lol if you can get an engine hone. complete flush and replace all those damaged parts for $400 why dont you just keep it. you got it cuz insurance didnt want to fix it. I understand trying to make money and all but either way you make money in the long run. what would your bottom price be?

i guess for me its easier at this point to just rebuild and sell as whole engine for more. i work at a chevy dealership and priced the head installation kit at just around 200 and the rings are 186 for the set. a simple hone job at my local machine shop is less than a hundred. a complete engine flush isnt necessary it was the top ring that rusted. and to be honest murphys mystery oil wiped 90percent of it off. so your basic at home honning will work. at this point with all the low ball offers no where near the bottom dollar ill just throw a couple hundred at it an repost somewhere else. these motors make big power for a lil money, the motor i built i got the same way a core and threw less than 1500 at it an got over 550hp was trying to let some one build something, instead of buying high an throwing money at parts twice. the engine ran didnt blow up it simply sat with small amount of bleach on tops of pistons after driving car into shop and letting sit waiting on the adjuster to come approve injectors and fuel pump. around a week

Like Ronin already said, list a price.

I know you don't WANT to part it, but I'm not interested in square port heads. What would you want for the short block?

Is it possible that a new piston sleeve will be required to be press-fit into the block instead of merely honing the cylinder?

1. PRICE IS REQUIRED. We do not permit ads without a legitimate, actual asking price for each item. "Best Offer" is not an allowable substitute for posting a price. You may ask for $1 but a price must be listed regardless. Entering "$0" or bogus numbers like $123,456,789 are technically options when creating a new listing, but using those options do not change this rule.

Like I said, I'm interested, but this isn't eBay, brother. We all abide by the rules here. You're no exception.

You could probably hone it yourself and take enough care not to get abrasive into everything, but if it goes to a machine shop and put in a real honing machine, the engine will have to be tanked and the cam bearings replaced, otherwise it will have honing grit in the oil passages.

An engine that has rust in the cylinder will need to be completely taken apart, bearings replaced, rings, crank and cam steel wooled etc. If you can do it for $400 don't waste your time here.
