Default LT4 Hot Cam Kit

Brand new LT4 Hot Cam Kit comes with Push Rods, Retainers, Valve Springs. Never used I chose to go with the 280 XFI cam instead. $350

Mine didn't come with push rods. That was about seven years ago though.

It does not with my cam I purchased other push rods and am using the 1.6 rockers. Everything is new only difference in the kit I am selling is push rods instead of rockers.

Oh, I gotcha. So they're stock pushrods? I know most 95s came with hardened ones from the factory but I still wouldn't trust a 3 piece.

They are not stock push rods they are plenty strong enough for the Hot Cam.

Yes the original kit comes with cam 1.6 rockers retainers and valve springs for 587. I am keeping the rockers and putting push rods instead. 350 for this kit is a steal.

Have you run the engine with the xfi 280/ GM roller rocker combo? GM lists max lift for those rockers at .575 and the xfi 280 is .576/.570. That's cutting it close in my book.

So I went to Summit's website.
The cam alone is $220.
The "HOT" kit springs are $43.97, the retainers are $17.97 but stock could be reused. The springs are marginal with the heavier LT1 valves.
So that is within $65-70 of your asking price and those don't look like $70 pushrods to me and I did NOT look around for a better deal on these parts just full normal retail at Summit.

So the seller is the only one getting a "good deal" on that box of parts.

The roller rockers are the expensive part but the BUZZKILL would be that they're SA. So you get a kit with a lazy cam, rockers that will become useless if you ever upgrade, and unusable valve springs for $5hundredwhatever dollars. After looking deeper into it I realized the entire kit is crap IMO.

Besides being SA the supplied rockers are only rated to .575 and these days a LOT of folks are running more on the street.

The LT4 springs are a very nice choice for an LT1 with stock cam and 1.6 rockers so I wouldn't call them useless. I would call them a poor match to the HOT cam and heavier LT1 valves.

Another faceless troll w/o any profile looking to profit from unaware/unwise forum members. Too bad we dont have moderators that make an effort to protect us. Something like looking at the trolls MAC address and exposing who he really is. We may be surprised its a frequent participant here.

Unfortunately you're right. I haven't seen so many *** holes on one forum. You are asking too much for your parts though. Drop the asking price down a lot and it'll sell, but the cam isn't the greatest choice either. You're probably better off selling it on Craigslist for a couple hundred bucks.

I know you're learning a lot about your car here and some people here think they are gods gift to cars, don't let them bother you. The frequency of those people are even worse here than any other forum I visit though.

Others here are just blatantly honest and tell it like it is without any filter. And if you can't take that you need to grow thicker skin, cause they certainly aren't going to change.

Good luck with the sale.
