TOTAL $2399

For HPT $649 for MPVI PRO
56 Credits to perform the tasks above if I calculated correctly including custom OS's for SD cars. 56x50=$2800
TOTAL $3449

Over $1000 difference right there and I don't think my situation is really all that unusual.. Especially in Australia where SD is the norm.
BTW, as usual, your numbers are way off
you could purchase our UNLIMITED Gen 3 car license for 30 credits which also gives you all of our custom operating systems free
And then 8 credits for those other two vehicles

All together would be 38 credits + MPVI Pro=$2549 and would've allowed you to tune an UNLIMITED amount of LS1 based cars but YOU are still having to shell out money for tune after tune now. So if you tuned 2 more LS1 vehicles with your current software(which it appears you'll do soon) and you would be over our cost.

Did you mention you already bought the roadrunner hardware at another $800 clip? You might want to add that into YOUR figures so the picture is more clear. And please get your number straight so that you aren't giving people false and misleading uninformed information as you have for this entire thread.

Thanks,
-Bill

All well and good but its a bit hard for a potential buyer comparing the two products to estimate possible future costs when they can't use the software until they buy it. It might not be confusing to HPT users, but for someone walking in off the street having never seen a tuning product and trying to compare. I imagine its not that easy. Hell for me its not even that straight forward and I take an interest into what you guys offer.

You can realtime tune a 1998 as well with EFILive, using the roadrunner pcm.

This is where your scheme gets very confusing and I still can't work out how 38 credits works out to be $1900 when they are $50 a pop.
In my example 38 credits were not purchased all at once just as 16 licences weren't either. I can see that if you purchased full GEN III support initially HPT would be cheaper though. To do the same in EFI LIVE would cost $3300. This is workshop type stuff though and I'm sorry I brought it up because its not relevant for a home tuner who may only tune half a dozen cars total.

Yup, its like comparing apples to oranges in alot of cases, efi has one way to do it, we have ours. They both work to help the customer in the end and thats really what counts.
