Default m6 spark smoothing?

I'm a newbie when it comes to tuning, however I'm here to learn. I was doing some reading tonight and came across m6 spark smoothing? I tried doing a search on it, but there is not much info. Would you recommend disabling it if I currently have no hesitation?

Well, disable it, take a ride and log some data and see what happens. It's not going to hurt the car or anything. I beleive it is primarily for smoothing timing transitions while driving, for example when shifting and letting out the clutch. Instead of just instantly switching from one spark timing to another, it transitions.
