Need HELP car sputters really bad!! I recently bought a 98 z28 with some bolt ons and a cam. The guy I bought the car from said they had street tuned it using "efi live". The car runs decent at WOT but anything less and it just spits and sputters. Is there anyway to reset the ecu to the stock settings? not sure what to do any help is appreciated.
You can download a stock tune for your OS(operating system) from the sticky at the top of this thread or you can down load a tune that has the same mods or close to the same.
If you do a stock tune you will have to add in for the cam and other mods but at least you will have a beginning point that you no one has messed with.
Where to start with the programming i couldnt tell you cause i am new to this myself.

Yes you will need a laptop try and see if the person you bought the car from will change the settings back to stock, you said they used EFI Live so if you try and use a different EFI Live program you will have to get another registration for your car i think.
