Autotap doesnt work on my car...?

Tried using a friends autotap on my car tonite and it gives a message saying no connection. Its not a problem on the computer/autotap side because it works on other cars...

Could be a bent pin or something on my diagnostic port? any other ideas?

check the fuse which powers the cig . lighter as this fuse also powers the OBD connection, also be sure the atap softwear is set to use the correct com port on the computer
