VATS bypass help me!
ok, i have no clue as to what to buy and the people at radio shack are tards. i printed out the chart off of shbox and it looks like numbers to me. tested my keys and it is 9.53K. what resistor do i need?

Get a pack of 271-1330 these are 4.7K resistors. Put 2 of them is series and put that across your wires. This will give you 9.4K of resistance, which is close enough.

How did you hook it up? IMHO, taking the under the glove box panel off and going to the bcm connector, White with black stripe wire pin 7 with your resistors straight to ground is the most straight fwd method.
That is, for an Fbody.

02 camaro. all i did was unplug the vats under the drivers side (white wires wrapped in orange) and shoved the 2 resistors in the plug from the harness

ok, heres what i just did. i took and unplugged the connector, put the key in and checked the wires from the key cylinder with the multimeter. i believe i should have gotten the same reading as the key, but i got nothing. does this confirm a broken wire in the column area?
