hanging idle at 2k, then dropping/dying

Default hanging idle at 2k, then dropping/dying

My T/A has started doing this on its own, used to not do it. I had the car dyno tuned and the tuner just brushed it off I guess? It did it before and after the tune. I'll come to a stop light with the clutch pedal down, and the car will even sometimes go up to 2 grand, hang there, and when I come completely to a stop it will idle down, and usually will die. The car never did this before and even idled great on a stock idle table. car has a 228/230 .579/.581 on a 112+4.

any ideas guys?

Throttle cracker table and possibly running airflow tables need work...

Tune could be off but, could have vacuum leak(s) as well. When it is at steady idle what kind of rpms are we talking about?

mine seems to be starting to have this exact thing happen (minus the completely dying) with more frequency. My rpms do seem to dip below the set idle for a second or two when coming to a stop.

I'm thinking its a vaccum leak also. After it settles down it idles fine at 850. I think I have found the leak

keep us posted on your progress,as i have a 427 with a 92mm fast body on a l76 manifold that is doing the exect same thing as yours.

If you have a vacuum leak, the idle will be high and uncontrollable.
What you described sounds tune related, most likely from having high values in B4307.

The desired airflow table needs to be logged while driving not just sitting on the dyno.
Is your idle high during cold start?

Idle dropping below desired when you put in the clutch is usually Throttle Follower related. There are a few tables in this area that would effect that. I had a car yesterday with the same problem. The airflow multiplier was the problem on this one.
