Default question for those of you with a wideband

when you decelerate in gear does your a/f go rich/lean/stay around 14.7?

mine goes into the 12's when decelerating and I always thought it should be leaning out not richening up.

want to get and idea of what others see.

thanks.

With the throttle blade closed wouldn't any air stop flowing into the engine? I saw in a post that there is still gas being injected even though the throttle has been released. Just my Opinion though, sorry no info about widebands.

Depends on the situation and injectors, pump, regulator. When I did not have my 50 lb msd injector offsets and sizing dialed in, I would get a huge drop in AFR and then it would go back to 14.7:1, this was under light load. Once I dialed in my injector offsets very little drop.

At wot if you suddenly let off the gas you will get extremely lean say 20:1 (probably worse but thats what my fjo will read too).

Yeah I think that's normal, mine does the same thing.
