You dont have to take it e z like breaking in a new motor, but why would you want to beat on it without a tune? You will not be gaining the full potential of the cam..Get it tuned and be happy...

Lean is hot. You will go lean. How much does heads or a short block cost?

It will be lean... yes you will hurt it if you run it hard without a tune...

I agree as well...and I thought I'd add...if you want to see what difference it made...you'll be very dissapointed anyways until it's tuned...(it might even be slower)...so hold off before you damage something

when i did my cam only (232/234 .595/.598 112lsa) i was untuned for about 2 weeks. talk to the tuner and he said that it should be ok if u drive it around like a granny and keep ur stock injectors and when i get it tuned upgrade the injectors.

You'll was the cylinders and ruin the motor if you drive it with larger injectors if they aren't scaled properly.

Have seen it a couple times... what makes you not believe it?? When some idiot puts bigger injectors in that are off by 65% without tuning for them, and the oil becomes mostly gas due to it running so rich, it doesn't tend to do the rings much good at all... One guy drained his oil and it was as thin as water and smelled like pure gas. It would just sit there and smoke and burn more oil than gas. The only fix is to clean up the walls and re-ring at that point...

I drove mine a bit untuned with an MS3. Driveability was pretty bad, mainy just double footing it on decel until the car stopped and found idle again.

I did make a few WOT rips, and it felt about as fast as it was before the cam swap...Although it may have been a little quicker.

I can't wait until it's got a tune in it...Should be much more fun.
