Default Is the abs and cruise control module linked?

I took of my cruise control module and now I have my abs inop light on. Is that coincidental or are they linked together in the module?

The only thing the 2 components share are the light blue wire, pin g on the cruise plug, from the brake switch. That wire doesn't go to the PCM. The cruise is pretty much standalone, it receives the vehicle speed signal, the cruise inhibit signal from the pcm, and sends the cruise status to the pcm, nothing to the abs system.

Don't mean to sound like a jackass, but a simple hookup to a scanner would tell you why. Can you just hook the cruise module back up to the plug, and see if the light goes away? Looking through my schematics, the light blue wire from the brake switch is the only wire the 2 systems share.

Nope, cruise is pretty much standalone. Plug on Cruise module
A GRY 397 Cruise control on switch output
B DK BLU 84 Cruise control set/coast switch signal
C GRY/BLK 87 Cruise control resume/accel switch signal
D BRN 86 Cruise control brake pedal switch input
E BLK 1650 Ground
F PNK 139 Fused ignition feed
G LT BLU 20 Stop lamp switch input
H DK GRN 83 Cruise control inhibit signal input
J WHT 85 Cruise control status output
K DK GRN/WHT 817 Vehicle speed sensor input

A-D come from the multifunction switch on steering column
E-G Self explanatory
H-K To/From the PCM/ECU

As I mentioned above pin G is the only wire the 2 share.
