How much can I expect to gain from tune?
How much can I expect to gain from tune? I just installed a MS3/5.3 heads combo on a 99z. Just for ***** and giggles we ran this car against another (01z) car before tune and could barely beat it the mods on each car are>
01 Camaro-
TH400
MS3 cam
stock heads
pacestters and true duals
stock lid and filter
Stock gearing for M6- 3.42?
Tsp mail order tune
99 camaro
MS3-5.3 stage 2 prc heads
tsp 1 7/8 headers- Tsp true duals
Underdrive pulley
K&N intake

I really thought the head/cam car would smoke the cam only car

well im sure the cam only car has a stall since its an a3... and if you went from a dig, with you being an m6.. im sure thats why..
from a roll, you should have beat him i believe...

from a 40 roll because of his throttle and mid range with the 5.3s his nose would jump in front of mine and would hold it till about 110.. and we would **** down..
big thing is if you went from a dig or roll.. that will explain a lot
from a dig, i beat him by 2 tenths of a second and out trapped by 1 mph..
almost forgot.... if you are on a mail order tune, i would guess probably about 15rwhp min.
you also has to think you have an ls1 intake and he has an ls6... unless you didnt list all of the mods, like you left out his stall..
