speedometer question

Default speedometer question

have a 700r4 and an aftermarket electircal autometer guage. How do I get this to work?? No ABS or Cruise if that matters!

I dont know about the speedo itself, but if you were using the factory speedo you would need to adjust the trans settings as the gearing is different. When I get home if no one has posted a better fix I'll post the numbers I have

Well biggest thing is I guess I don't know how the 700 operates the speedo? It doesn't go through the PCM... So does it have an electical output on it or something? As far as the guage it has one input that come from either the PCM or a sending unit...

Some 700R4's come with a VSS on them. Some come with a cable hookup. What year model is yours and what kind of car is it in, or come out of?

Well it is actually a 4l60 and came out of a suburban... Put it up in the air today and it has a sensor... Looks like a 2 prong sensor right by the output shaft? Is that correct?
