Clearing the previous fault code in PCM after the repair?
Got a question for you PCM experts:
Lets say you had an SES light. You checked the code with a reader. Fixed the problem. Now the problem is fixed and the SES light is out.
Will that previous PCM fault code remain in the PCM if it's not cleared with LS1Edit or a Tech II? (I don't have LS1Edit)
If it remains in the PCM, will the code finally be removed after a certain number of engine starts as long as no problem now exists?
Thanks,
Ron

Did the SES light go out by itself after the repairs & completing several GM drive cycles or did your remove the PCM fuse/disconnect power to reset?

Had a solid SES light for 3 days.
Just fixed the problem myself. Started the car after fixing the problem, and the light was out. Been off now all day even after 3 or 4 engine starts, a WOT run to about 80, 75 mph highway cruise, and stop and go diving.
I did not do a PCM reset. I really don't think I need to unless that needs to be done to clear the previous code from it.
