Default bought a 98 ls1 a4 need help

i just bought a 98 t/a ls1 a4

motor is just a long block sitting in the car. it needs intake,tb, injectors, engine harness and pcm.

is now a good time to buy a 99-02 pcm and harness since its damn near impossible to find the 98 harness and pcm? will everything plug right in or will their need to be mods done to it?

goals before putting back together are going with a good set of heads and a big cam it already has a yank 3000 stall. any recomendations?

also what size injectors should i look for?

thanks for all the help in advance

With regards to the computer. I own a 98 and there ain't much out there in the way of tuning for a 98. If you have the opportunity to step up to a 99 computer I would do it in a heatbeat.

i think the way the coil packs hook to the valve covers is different since i think the 98's have perimeter bolts... theres something to do with the PCV thats different or something.

im just trying to remember some things ive seen off the top of my head so dont take my word for it. do some searches on the PCV... i think alot of the other hookups are the same... look up 98 knock sensors too i remember reading something about them but not sure what...

hope that helps you get started

edit: also ran across this https://ls1tech.com/forums/western-c...-part-out.html

shipping from cali prolly wont b cheap but theres a lotta 98 parts there...

Contact your Tuner at PCMFORLESS and see what he says. That would be my move.
