Do Lines/Bosch require PCM Tuning?
Do Lines/Bosch require PCM Tuning? Putting an ls1 into a 240. I have -8an and -6an lines for the feed and return, Aero FPR, and a 044 Bosch pump that I can use from the car I currently have. Will this require me to purchase tuning software such as hptuners or ls1edit. Am planning on getting it soon. I just was curious if I could use a stock pcm with these aftermarket fuel components for the time being. Thanks in advance
You should only have to change the software if the pressure goes up or you are changing your injectors. BUT if you are already tuned, and it was compensating for your wot pressure drop from fuel demand, then it will be off at wot for sure. So you would need tuned again.
I think that fuel pressure regulator setup might react quicker than a returnless car reacts. That being the case, the IFR table might need some minor adjustment, but I doubt it'll be too much to change.
