EFI Live v5 maf conversion function question

Looking for the correct formula to put in a Calculated PID for gms/cyl to be used for LS1 edit.

I used {SAE.J1979.MAF}*15/{SAE.J1979.RPM} in a calc PID , and the values seem too low .... Max of .11 on a 1/4 mile pass.

make sure the unit for the MAF is in gms

Thanks for the reply.

The MAF I am logging is lb/min. Is there an additional multiplier I can use ? , or maybe I would have to record the maf in raw freq ?

Try using the metric value for your MAF pid.

Hello, if you prefer to log in Lb/min then you could use the following formula in your calculated pid:

({SAE.J1979.MAF} *7.56) * 15 / {SAE.J1979.RPM}

This is the Cylair formula to be used for Edit tuning.

Do you know that EFI V6 has the calc. pids already calculated for you?
