Converting 4l60e to 80e settings in VCM 2005 Silverado..
Just completed the hardware part, Cross member, harness, Driveline, Cooler lines.
Any advise on what changes to make in the computer? i'm using HPT. will this computer support the tranny. The 80e tranny is from a 2006 HD.

E-mail HPTuners support with your file and your serial number off your interface and ask them if they can do a segment swap for you to allow you to run an 80e with your file. You might need to find a stock 05 file for an 80E truck (go with something from a 2500HD probably) and then after they swap it for you, you will then be able to tune the tranny.
