Default LC-1 Error Code 9

After having the LC-1 out of the car for 1.5 years. It was put up in original box and kept indoors out of heat, humidity, and cold. Unit was working fine before taking it out. Left all wiring in the car so i didn't have to run new wiring when I went to reinstall it. Went to install it this weekend and got error code 9. Low Voltage. Checked all connections with volt meter and everything looks good. Why would I get this code when voltage is 12-13V going into the unit? Has anyone else encountered this problem? What is the fix? Any other things I need to look at?

Thanks.

Now I will admit that the electrical side of things is not something i totally understand. So let me know if I am not doing something correct. I have a volt meter and checked it on the battery to make sure it was on the right settings. 12.56 volts on the battery. I have the unit grounded where the the engine grounding strap connects to the frame on the drives side down low between radiator and engine. held (-) side of meter to the ground and held the (+) to the hot terminal on the drivers side of the car. Got 12.5 on meter. so as I understand it, that is a good ground right? If not, what am I missing?

Thanks.

You generally don't want to ground to the frame. Grounding to the engine block is better. Looks like you have good power. I would replace the sensor.

Describe in detail your wiring setup.

Well I just actually got through redoing the wiring. what I have done is take one wire from the engine block and run it under the dash to a distribution block (16 terminal block). Checked all terminals and no voltage loss between them, about 11.69V not running. Have a wire from a switched 12V in fuse block under dash to another fused terminal distribution block. so now I have one location for all my hot and ground sides. Hooked everything back up and still code 9. Don't think I can make the wiring any cleaner. Do you guys think it is just the sensor or the whole unit?

It could be the controller, but I would replace the sensor first and see if it helps. The way you have it setup will work just fine.
