Weird issues after injector swap/tune
Weird issues after injector swap/tune Ok, a friend of mine recently swapped his 28.8s for some 39's. The IFR was changed and the car ran fine. Well he got his 9in installed and the was back on the road. All was well until the car started running like crap, wouldnt idle, smelt like it was loading up and when you pressed the gas it wouldnt do anything but die. I did some scanning and the LTFT's were maxed at 25 so I figured it had a vaccum leak. He never found a vaccum leak, and end up replacing the TPS sensor and the car ran just like normal. Well, he ended up trading the 39s for FAST 36's so he wanted me to change the flow rate chart again. I open the current file thats in the car, change only the IFR and reload. Same thing happens, the car doesnt idle, dies when you press the gas. I think ok, it didnt like that IFR so I reload the same tune that was in it that was working fine when he brought it to me and its doing the same thing. After playnig around with the car, I noticed that once the car cools off below 190* it will run fine, LTFTs are within 0-3 and its seems to be working. As soon as you let it sit there and idle and the temp goes to 201* the car goes right back to acting like it did. ITs hard to scan it while its idling with it wanting to idle real low, then dies. Im lost here and have never seen anything like this. Does anybody have any info or ever ran into this?
