To keep up with this ever demanding industry, we have released the first in a series of online videos courses. EFI University presents its Variable Camshaft Phasing Class!
This first class in our new series will teach you about some of the intricacies involved with tuning Variable Camshafts. As with all of our classes, we start with terminology, theory, and practical application to give you a strong fundamental base. From this base, you can decide on which camshaft will suit your vehicle needs along with the needs of your customer’s vehicles. Next, we work our way into understanding some of the various OEM manufacturers phasing and camshaft profile changing techniques. A section on Exhaust gas emissions is up next. This is followed by the tuning principals of camshaft phase tuning. Followed by demonstrations on the dyno that include, steady state, and wide open throttle along with the effect on torque output, fuel economy, EGTs, and emissions as we tune the camshafts phasing!
