open vs closed loop Hi. What does open or closed loop means? and what are the effects of it. I've seen many people shortly write about it but never an explanation.

Basically in closed loop, the VCM is using feed back from the o2 sensors to maintain stoich or 14.68 A/F. Open loop uses programed parameters without feedback from the o2s. Closed loop is most of your normal driving, it's mainly fuel economy and emissions related while open loop is WOT.
