Default what tuner to use?

what tuner do you guys recommend i have a 99 ls1 with full exhaust electric cut out and lid i also plan on adding nitrous in the future and what prices would i be looking at should i use a handheld or something like hp

no handhelds.... hp tuners is my favorite...efi live works too.

can i tune it myself with hp tuners or do i need to take it somewhere and what does it usually run?

HP Tuners is basically a commercial grade tuning hardware & software package that is available to the public starting at ~$499, tunershops also use our product and dyno tuning usually starts at $400+ depending on where you go.

thanks do you know of any tuners that you would recomend using in albuquerque new mexico if you know of any that use your product

With only a lid and a cut-out a tune would be a waste of your money at this point.
