Diagnostics of an LS1 Engine in a Malibu Ski Boat I recently purchased an '02 Malibu Response LX ski boat with an Indmar/LS1 engine and I want to be able to check run history, fault codes, etc. The engine is run by a Delphi MEFI 4 ECM. I was told by Indmar that Mercruiser also used the same ECM on some of their engines as well. I have an OTC 4000Enhanced scanner with the proper cable to hook up to the ECM harness. What I need to know is what cartridge I need to diagnose my engine. If anyone could help a newbie out that would be greatly appeciated. I have only had the boat out twice so far but this is an incredible engine in the boat.

I tried MEFIBURN and they didn't have anything that would work with my OTC scan tool. They do have a program that you can run on a laptop that would do what I am wanting to do that I may look at if I can't find the cartridge to work with my scanner. Anyone got any other suggestions or have one of these http://www.mefiburn.com/sc/details.asp?item=mefiscan1 they would like to sell. I need the program for MEFI-4.

Diagnostics of an LS1 Engine in a Malibu Ski Boat I just talked to OTC Tech support and wanted to know what year the engine was. He said if it was a 98-99 the 99 Pathfinder cartridge would work but if it was newer, I would have to go to a Duece. Can anyone tell me what year the LS1 used an MEFI 4 ECM? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
