Default alternator problem

My alternator is not recharging and this is the 3rd alternator tried. first alternator was damaged by power steering fluid leak and the alternator and red wire alternator wire were covered in powersteering fluid, could this have shorted the connection out and is there a way of testing this wire to the pcm the see if it is the wire?

I had it tested while still in the car and they told me the alternator was ok. should I remove it and have it tested. This is the 3rd one I have tried. On there tester it said there was a bad wire. I checked the black wire with a test light and that had power so the only other wire is the red wire on top. When I put the 3rd alternator in it was ok for about a minuate and then went bad on the gauge, the 2nd alternator did the same thing.
