It's late, did a search and came up with NOTHING. I remember reading someone had an issue with their tach, and engine running; but the scanner wouldn't pick up a signal via handheld. I'm having that issue on a recently purchased car....ANYONE? This is not the only problem we're having, just trying to start somewhere.

 

i had the problem a couple years back and I thnk it had something to do with the crank position sensor. I think

 

Is this for the factory tach? If so i would check the ground on the back of the drivers side head, the tach signal comes from the cam sensor.

 

My cam sensor went out .Got codes for that. Tach also went out. Any cam sensor codes? Cam sensor gives the info to tach.
