Default Suggestions for my LT1 Formula?

Looking for peoples' inputs of whether I should get a tuning chip or a professional tune for my LT1.

I'm adding things on as I get money so I'm not sure a professional tune would be worth it, as things change.

Also if anyone recommends a chip what would be a good one? Preferably one with settings for fuel mileage as well as performance

94 LT1's are not chips, well they are but they are an eprom chip, meaning you do not change them out like on the 93;s. you need programmable software to change the parameters in your PCM..

I have a 95 LT1 same OBD1 computer. I use Tunner Cats for programming and Datamaster for data logging. There cheap for how much you can do. That way you can change things as you add more mods.

That seems good...

Is the software difficult to use? and what all do I need to use it?

It is no more difficult to use than any other tuning software. And the price, considering the gouging that current companies are doing, is very reasonable.
You can start here: http://www.tunercat.com/
You will also need a cable (ASDL?) but there should be a link on the site.
The Datamaster program is a data logging program, and you can also find links for it.

Just start easy and you will be fine. And be sure that you save your base tune before you make any changes.
