Default AEM wideband accuracy

Hi

I have read that the AEM is not a real accurate wideband, if this is by testing it against others, does the AEM put your tune rich or lean?

If they are not callibrated correctly, I would think they would lean one way or the other?

Actual experience knowledge please.

Thanks

I am tuning the MAF in CL and have LT's on the car and either my AEM is reading lean, making my tune rich or the NB's are reading rich because after I did the wideband tune, the NB's say the car is rich, and it smells rich, now if I go with the NB's the exhaust smell is better, leading me to think they are giving a more accurate reading and if that is true I can get part throttle correct for the NB's but my WOT part of the tune would probably be rich, I guess that won't hurt anything and better rich than lean up top.

I have the AEM hooked up according to instructions and what I have seen on this and other sites for hookup, mine is through the cig. lighter adapter.

Any thoughts or similar experience?
