The other night my security light on my dash came on and has remained lit ever since. All I did was shut the car off, go get a part from a friend and got back in the car. No more than 5 minutes went by in this time frame. Is there something special I need to do to get that light off? The car starts/runs just fine. Just annoying with that light always there. TIA.

 

There is a problem w/the pass-key system.


Have you checked for PCM trouble codes?
(it can set codes w/o illuminating light)

If no help there, your gonna need some diagnostics done.

These are the kind of problems a Tech 2 come in handy.

 

Looks like I may be making a visit to the dealer tomorrow to see what's up with this....
