Default Coolant Temperature Sensor

Ok we all know the CTS sends a signal voltage to the ECM based on coolant temp and the ECM controls the air/fuel mixture and TCC lockup. However what I dont understand is the in depth operation of it.I know as temperature goes up the resistance of the CTS drops but the voltage output also drops. As the temperature drops the voltage output goes up along with the resistance.Doesnt this completely defy OHMS law(lol).I am not understanding how an increase in the resistance of a component would allow for more voltage output.

Nevermind.I didnt see it was referring to voltage drop instead of voltage output.
