What does a tune actually do?? I plan on getting one of my dads friends to come tune it. So I wanna know what it does.

 

Depending on the actual modifications; it's supposed to optimize performance modifications by adjusting specific parameters inside in the PCM. It can also help with recover lost driveability from more radical modifications such as large camshafts and torque converters for auto cars as well.

for that price, I would think a drive from birmingham wouldnt be a big deal.....and you would know its done right, on a dyno, using a wideband.
