What if?

What your PCM takes a dump, do you have to buy more credits from HP tuners to put the tune on your new PCM?

Well if you can find a PCM with the same operating system you could technically have someone at a dealership flash it with your VIN #. BUT that's illegal, no?! Lol

That won't work, he will still have to put credits against it.

they license to the vin and ECM ID number, so you change either one you have to relicense the pcm.

I've got probably a half dozen pcms with the same vin number in them for testing.

If you change to a new vcm id number you'd need to relicense it if you don't already have the year/model license for the pcm in question.

We do NOT license to a vin number contrary to whats been stated. Single vcm licenses are licensed to the vcm id number unique to each pcm.
