Default Cam install tuning???

I know I need a tune but One problem I am currnetly having.

Cam is a 234/230 .578 on a 112lsa

I just put this in along with a LS6 intake and Pacesetter Longtubes.

My problem is that when rolling or driving my idle is extremely high 1800-2500 rpms.. when stopped the idle will drop after about 5 seconds...

I also ported my throttlebody at the same time.

Idles perfect at a standstill 900 rpm's

My old cam used to hold revs also. Its something which could be tuned out.

do you have any scan software? drive it around for awhile. i did this today and it helped mine out ALOT for some reason. sounds like your throttle follower needs adjusted. have you flashed the PCM lately? i would still drive it for awhile.

Mine did this after I ported my TB and took a little too much off the sides of the TB plate. It let too much air flow through while the blade was closed. I closed the hole with a pop rivit and then drilled the rivit out to allow a little air flow. This fixed my problem. Try closing the hole in the TB blade with a nut and bolt and see if it helps.

Well the throttlebody around the blade wasn't touched....adjusted the Idler screw and drilled the hole to where I have a good standing idle but as soon as the wheels roll, up goes the idle by about 1200 rpm's....

Try reducing Running Air Flow by 1.0, from 92C and up. See what that does and judge from there. What is idle setting?
You might need to work on the throttle follower and cracker, but that only really works whe the tune is close. Then there is VE, but try RAF first.
